Oh, my goodness! Those days when you feel abandoned and that no one understands, can be torture. You cry, and the heaviness in your heart tries to break you down. Those are the very times that you must realize that you’re not alone.
Dust off that Bible and go to Matthew 28:20 where Jesus assured us that He would be with us even to the ends of the earth. That’s a long time. So, even if you have been going through this heartbreaking experience for a lengthy time, that doesn’t mean you’re deserted. It’s not the end of the earth yet, so He’s still with you, you’re not alone. Trust and rely on those words.
Below is the first verse of an old hymn we used to sing in the Missionary Baptist Church called, “No, Never Alone”. I can almost hear my mom’s beautiful soprano voice as I see these words…
“I’ve seen the lightning flashing,
And heard the thunder roll.
I’ve felt sin’s breakers dashing,
Trying to conquer my soul.
I’ve heard the voice of Jesus,
Telling me still to fight on.
He promised never to leave me,
Never to leave me alone.”
God is faithful! Start with those words. You can count on His Mercy and Love. The question then becomes, do you love and trust Him enough to believe He will never forsake you?
You are never alone, no, never alone!
Psalm 9:10 TLB
[10] All those who know your mercy, Lord, will count on you for help. For you have never yet forsaken those who trust in you #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
