No Excuse

We were taught at a young age to say, “Excuse Me” when we ran into someone by accident, walked in front of them or needed by. (Also, when a burp slipped out) Those were good “excuses”. That is not what I am referring to today.

Making excuses as to why you can’t or won’t do something is the subject. “I’m too young!” “I’m too old!” “I’m too busy!” “I have no clue what to say!” “I’ll say too much!” “I won’t say enough!” “I’m not that smart!” “I could appear to be smarter than I am!” “I could be misunderstood!” “Don’t have the time!” “Money is tight!” “I’m not as talented as him or her!” So many excuses, yet they are still just that…excuses.
When God asked Jeremiah to be His mouthpiece, the first thing out of his mouth was an excuse. He told God he was way too young for what he was being tasked with. Guess what? God didn’t except his excuse. He told him not to say that.
God went on to tell him that He would be with him and give him the words to say. He told him not to let fear be an issue either.
Know this, if you are facing what you consider to be giants and seemingly impossible situations, God is available to see you through them. Don’t just automatically think “I can’t do this” …say “I can do this” with God’s help. Stay prayed up and ready for whatever comes your way. You got this, because God’s got you!
Jeremiah 1:6-8 TLB
[6] "O Lord God," I said, "I can't do that! I'm far too young! I'm only a youth!" [7] "Don't say that," he replied, "for you will go wherever I send you and speak whatever I tell you to. [8] And don't be afraid of the people, for I, the Lord, will be with you and see you through." #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
