Minds Are for What Matters

Sometimes (and I include myself in this) we tend to let stuff take up residency in our minds. Worry, self-doubt, anxiety and the opinion of others take over and roll around in our minds causing conflict within ourselves (chaos).

When your mind is full of chaos, you are rendered unable to focus on the things that matter. We weren’t designed to be controlled by fear and confusion. We are told in 2 Peter to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

We have power, love and self-discipline that we can access when we let go of the chaos. As a child of God, start today by thinking on the things that matter. When the chaos begins …end it with God thoughts from the Bible.

Say this as an affirmation, “I am not fearful or afraid. I am full of God’s power, love and self-discipline. My mind is clear so I can focus on what matters!”

2 Timothy 1:7 NLT

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
