Mending Relationships

There was a song out in 1972 that asked the question, “How do you mend a broken heart”? It was about a relationship that went south and caused anguish for the one whose heart was crushed. It was a sad situation causing so much pain that it seemed as though nothing would ever be good again.
The way to mend relationships is not foreign to those of us who believe. We know what is the right thing to do, but do we do it like we should? I say for the most part, “we don’t”. Let’s face it, we can all do better when it comes to forgiveness.
If we would really learn to be forgiving, living a positive and powerful life would be a natural thing. It doesn’t have to be something we only dream about. As a matter of fact, when we forgive, we open up the windows of heaven with blessings that are crazy good. Better than you can dream.
On the other side… when you don’t forgive, bitterness sets in and steals your dreams. It weakens your faith to the point of not realizing all that God wants for you.
Faith - Hope - Love. The greatest of these three is LOVE. Love is forgiving others. Love is getting grudges out of your life. Love is mending relationships. Love is allowing yourself to live at peace with everyone.
Love is forgiving in the way your Heavenly Father forgives. He removes the wrongs as far as the East is from the West. Can you do that? Absolutely!!
Mark 11:24-26 NLT
[24] I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours. [25-26] But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too." #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
