Make Room

I used to be Guest Service Manager at a Holiday Inn many years ago. There were times when we were totally booked and couldn’t fit another human being in our rooms. When that happened, we would call around and try to find a place for them in our sister hotels.

They didn’t have the luxury of phones or extra places to send folks in Bethlehem. When there was no room…there was nothing. Except maybe in a stable where at least they’d be out of the elements. This was the case the night that Jesus made his entrance.

Is there room in your heart and life for Jesus? No need to call around, just invite him in.

Luke 2:4-7 KJV

[4] “And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) [5] To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. [6] And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. [7] And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.”
