Love is Speaking

There are those among us that are starving for affection. We may mistakenly think they are just wanting attention when in reality, they are needing someone to show they care.
Part of the “showing” is the “saying”.
Be gracious in how you speak. Don’t use the excuse, “this is just how I am” to be rude or uncaring. I’ve heard all the excuses, and none of them “excuse” anything.
We are to be a beacon of light and love to ALL those around us. This even means family and longtime friends.
If you are finding it difficult to show God’s love through both your actions AND your words, it is time to do a “heart and mind” check. You may “type” all the “feel good” comments on your Facebook, but only you know your heart.
Colossians 4:5 MSG
[5] Be gracious in your speech. The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
