Lose Your Mind

If we want to have a life of peace and victory, we have to lose that defeatist attitude that is constantly nagging at us.

We have to be willing to discontinue with our old way of looking at circumstances. Those old traditions and opinions of others can keep you from Gods best for you. Many times, what we think is the smart thing to do is actually the dumbest. We use human understanding instead of seeking the wisdom found in Jesus’ teaching.

We have to, in a sense, lose our minds so that we can think like Jesus thinks.

This is not to say we go Willy Nilly through life without a thought of what’s going on around us. Quite the contrary! We face each day with purpose. We make sure we start each day reading about how Jesus taught, thought and walked. We emulate His example with the help of that same Spirit that guided Him. It lives in all those that believe.

It is time for all of us that take on the name of Christ to “lose our minds” and think like Jesus. It’s called “the mind of Christ.”

Romans 8:5-6 NLT

[5] Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. [6] So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
