It’s one thing to spout scripture, and another to live what you spout.

I know that was a weird way to say it. Let’s go to some lyrics of a song popular a few years back.

“I have decided

I'm gonna live like a believer

Turn my back on the deceiver

I'm gonna live what I believe”

Live what you believe. Live what you preach. Live like Jesus. Live what you spout.

It is easy to quote scripture to folks. I can get on Facebook as many times a day that I want and post scriptures to you. But if I’m not living those out with Gods help in my own life, then I’m just being “preachy”.

I know I have failed many times do the right thing. I know that I am far from perfect. But when you love Jesus, you want to live out the scriptures in a sincere way. You desire to be what is good and right. Even in the failures and sins that so often overtake us, we need to remember that we have a responsibility to get things right with God.

Living out the scriptures is showing and helping others how to navigate through their “not so good” times because you’ve been there too.

1 John 2:5-6 NLT

[5] But those who obey God's word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. [6] Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
