Lighten Up

What’s weighing you down today?

When Paul (as a prisoner) was out at sea on his way to defend himself to Caesar, he found himself in a horrible storm. He was NOT concerned that they would perish, because of the assurance he received from God.

The crew did all they could to lighten the load to keep the ship from crashing on the rocks.

Right before today’s verse, Paul reminded them that they hadn’t eaten for quite a while and encouraged them to eat. After this, they even threw their food over to further take the load off so to speak.

We all have things in our lives that tend to put us in horrible situations. We have to recognize how these circumstances are keeping us from our purpose. We don’t want it to be like a rock tied around our necks keeping us immovable.

Why in the world do we stress over every single thing?

Lighten up! Throw off what’s weighing you down by trusting God and maybe even do some of the things mentioned below in the first picture.
