Do we really understand what we have our hands on in the Declaration of Independence? The principles found there were heavily guided by the Bible.
We know the authors believed in a Creator by one of the first statements written. “They are endowed by their Creator…” They wanted everyone who would read and hear these words realize where their rights come. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are given to us from God.
The thief (the devil) does not want us to enjoy those things. His purpose is to steal your joy, kill your faith and destroy your life. But Jesus came to give us an understanding of our freedom in Him. He wants us to have life with abundance (with way more than enough.)
On this day as we remember our freedoms, remember our Creator who is the author of those freedoms.
John 10:10 NKJV
