I love being where I can see the lights of a city shining in the dark. Whether I am the one on the hilltop looking down into the city or I am in the valley seeing the city on the hilltop, it is a wonderful site. There is life in the light.

The illumination of life gives hope to those that are “weary travelers”. It helps to give you the assurance that you are not alone in your life. You see the light and realize you are almost at your destination; you just must keep moving.

If you are not letting the light of Jesus shine out in your life, or if you have allowed it to become dim, change that today.

Be the light by building yourself up in your faith in reading and understanding the scriptures, then living them out in how you treat others.

There is someone that needs to see the light in your life. They are struggling in the darkness of the world and need hope. That valley in their life has become so low, they need to be able to look up and see the light of Jesus in something or someone. They desire encouragement to keep going…not give up.

The light in your life should shine for all to see, so others are pointed to the One who gives life and hope. Your goal should be to light the way to Him.

Matthew 5:14-16 NLT

[14] "You are the light of the world-like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. [15] No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. [16] In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
