“God so loved the world…” “What the world needs now is love sweet love…” “Do unto others…” “Unconditional love…” “Loving you is easy cause you’re beautiful…”

We have heard all of our lives that we should love others. And we are like, “Okay, I can do that!” Then we hear, “Love others in the same way we love ourselves”. Well, that is a different story for some folks. Some don’t feel as if they are worth loving. In comparison to others, they may not appear outwardly “beautiful”. So, they will spend a fortune trying to “beautify” themselves in a way that they think will make a difference in how they see themselves. (Don’t think I’m against makeup-cause I’m definitely not) I’m against the extreme for self-esteem.

First off what does God look at. The heart! And another phrase we need to take to heart is “God doesn’t make junk!” He loves us with an everlasting love, and we are all beautiful and precious in His sight. He sent His Son to die for us out of that great love.

When you really begin to understand that the love of God has no conditions attached to it, then you can truly see how that applies to loving your “neighbor”. It means to love them in that same way. Love yourself that way too.

The ten commandments were narrowed down to the two most important. Love God and Love Others! And right smack dab in the middle is to understand how to love ourselves. It wasn’t listed as a third important command, just needed to understand how to really love others in the way God loves us.

Mark 12:30-31 GNT

[30] Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' [31] The second most important commandment is this: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.' There is no other commandment more important than these two."#helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
