Know It All

I will begin by saying that I am so thankful for those that know way more than I know. When they share their knowledge on a subject, but do not seem like a “know it all”, it is like sitting at the feet of Jesus. When I see and hear the love of God flowing through them, it is refreshing and not burdensome.
We are all at different places in our Christian Walk, and therefore, at different levels of understanding. It is in the applying of what we have learned, and how we share it, that is either an irritant “rub” or a soothing “medicine” for the soul. If what you are saying is just causing others to just be irritated, how is that helping? But, on the other hand, if what you are saying is bringing healing to their mind and body, that is a very good thing.
Medicine can sting on a fresh wound, but if applied correctly can bring much needed healing. Truth can sting at first, but if it is coming from someone who is allowing God’s love to flow through them, it is received and most times accepted.
If any of you are truly wanting to make a difference in someone’s life reflect on how they see you. Take responsibility in how you come across to them. None of this “that’s just how I am” stuff. (God did send Jesus to die for you “just as you are”, but He wants better from you.)

Being arrogant (puffed up) gets you nowhere. If you seem (to others) as a “know it all”, good chance that’s a “no win” situation…UNLESS you seek Gods guidance and start portraying the fruit of the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 8:2-3 NLT
