The words in Handels Messiah…

“King of kings and lord of lords

And He shall reign forever and ever” are powerful words.

How are these words translated into our lives? How do we make Jesus the king of kings over our lives?

When an earthly king reigns, he rules a country and has supreme authority and governance over that country. He should also have a moral duty to lead righteously. He should be a willing servant that serves his people with justice and wisdom. It is an honorable position requiring awesome qualities.

What better example of a King that serves others and a King worth serving than JESUS.

Who we allow to have kingship over our heart and lives is a decision WE must make. We can’t dilly dally around with it. We make a firm choice like Joshua and stick with it … “As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD".

Let this be your final decision and proclamation. “As for my heart, Jesus will reign supreme. He will be at the center of all my decisions. He will be my Lord, my Savior and my King forever and ever”. Amen.

Matthew 22:37 NLT

[37] Jesus replied, "'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.'
