Keeping Your Word

I looked up the phrase, “my word is my bond”, and found that it basically means that you will do what you have promised you will do.

When your word is your bond, no one should ever have to worry about your trustworthiness because your integrity is beyond reproach. You have made it a habit in your life to follow through on what you say by keeping your promises.

Even if it is not easy, you still need to do what is necessary to keep those promises.

Or another way to say it is, “Say what you mean and mean what you say!”

Proverbs 12:22 TPT

[22] Live in the truth and keep your promises, and the Lord will keep delighting in you, but he detests a liar.
