Just Say, Yes Lord and Then Be Still

Why is this happening? A question so many of us ask all the time. We get excited about something, and it falls through or just didn’t turn out like we thought it would. Sometimes it was a worse turnout, but other times it is a much better outcome.

There are things that we have absolutely no control over that happen and we are left wondering, “what in the world?”

The insurance commercials lead you to believe, that just like a good neighbor, “they” are there or that you are in “good hands” with them. There is no certainty that they will always provide what you need. When you have prayed for “Gods will be done on earth as it is in heaven”, then you really are in the best hands possible.

A phrase from a song by The Talleys says, “I’m gonna say yes Lord yes to your will and to your way. I will trust you and obey!” That’s good advice right there. Even when things happening around me are confusing, God is always in the mix and working things out for my good. I will say yes to Him and be still. I know He is there even in the mixed-up times we live in.

Psalm 46:10 NKJV
