When we face things that our so difficult that we think our hearts are literally breaking, that is the time to remember Psalms 34:18. The Lord never leaves our side. Even when we have not been in a good place due to our own doing, He’s there.

He can take our broken pieces and put us back together stronger than ever before. In the Humpty Dumpty poem, all the kings' horses and all the kings' men, couldn’t put Humpty back together after his fall. But God could have. No matter how broken we are, if we call on Him, He’s there.

We all suffer loss in our lives, we all grieve at some point. We are not expected to be stoic and not grieve. Jesus had compassion for those that suffered loss, and He wept for the loss of someone dear to Him. This is comforting to me to know that we serve a compassionate and loving God who cares about what we are dealing with every day.

As I close today, I want to leave you with something that I have found to be true in my own life. We have been blessed with good memories. Those that light up our heart just when we need them. Sometimes those memories come to our mind, and we are taken right back to the time and place they happened. It could be about someone that has went to heaven or you just haven’t seen them for years. When I have those precious memories, I am not only there, but I can also hear their voice. What an awesome God to know what we need and when we need it.

Psalm 34:18 NASB95

[18] The LORD is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
