This grabs my heart today…Jesus being betrayed for a bag of silver by his “friend” Judas. How much do you think that stabbed Him right in His heart to know that someone He has loved and trusted would do this to Him?

I’m sure most of us have faced betrayal at some point in our lives. Someone we cared about has betrayed us, or we have had to ask for forgiveness for perpetuating betrayal on another person. Whatever the situation, it is never a place that one would want to find themselves.

In Judas case, he was filled with so much regret that he ended up taking his own life for his betrayal of Jesus. Don’t allow yourself to get to that point.

Forgiveness is key and is really the only solution after betrayal. Knowing you have hurt someone so deeply can be a hard thing to live with, and you should do what you can to make it right. Then forgive yourself so that you can be a force for Jesus.

If someone has hurt you so bad you think your life is over, you need to forgive them. Even if they never ask for your forgiveness, don’t let their mistake ruin your life. “Pull yourself up by the bootstraps” and let Jesus be your strength.

When Jesus was dying on the cross, He made the statement, “Father forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” I think He was even extending that same grace for Judas.

People lose their way sometimes and do some crazy things. Forgive them and yourself. Allow healing to take place.
