“…all of the bad feelings have disappeared, it’s gonna be a bright sun-shiny day.”
When we are not walking in love towards others, we tend to pass judgment on anyone and everyone. We never try to understand what makes them the way they are. We just decide to be judge and jury, and say they are just “mean people.”
The thing is, they really could be a mean-spirited person, but we need to keep in mind that the Lord looks at their heart. He is the one that truly knows the real “Jane or John”. He knows their struggles and triumphs and continues to love them. He died for them too and wants them to trust and follow Him.
To be perfectly honest (and why wouldn’t I be honest), we are no better than those we consider as scoundrels when we judge them. We are to exhibit and extend grace when dealing with others.
I know some of those in your circle of friends and acquaintances can be “real boogers” at times, but they may be dealing with some heavy stuff we know nothing about. When we see them on occasion and have no choice but to be around them, practice realizing how God sees them.
Let your life on the outside display the change you made on the inside when you made your commitment to live for Jesus.
Don’t judge others. Let any bad feelings you’ve had against them lessen each time you are around them. Let Gods love shine through you.
1 Samuel 16:7 NLT
[7] But the LORD said to Samuel, "Don't judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The LORD doesn't see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
