If you skip reading Chronicles because of all the “who begat who” that’s there, then you will miss this gem of a verse about David’s advice to his son, Solomon. (I actually sort of enjoy trying to say all those names in there…but I digress) Back to Solomon.

When God decided that He wanted Solomon in charge of building the temple, don’t you know Solomon was like “whoa”, hold on here a second! This is a HUGE responsibility to take on!

You may be facing some serious problems right now. Or you may have been given a job that seems to be more than you can handle. Maybe you have never had to do anything this difficult or stressful before. Learn this. Take that first step and realize you are strong and can do the hard things. That is why they’re called “hard”. Don’t allow the size of the task to take away your courage.

David told Solomon to get to work! Sure, it is a monumental undertaking, but the Lord would be with him every step of the process. It would all be done right and just as it is supposed to be. In other words, Solomon…you can do hard things, so get to it!!

So, as you face those challenges in life, hit ‘em head on. The Lord will be with you just like Solomon, if you ask Him to be. You CAN do hard things!

1 Chronicles 28:20 TLB

[20] Then he continued, "Be strong and courageous and get to work. Don't be frightened by the size of the task, for the Lord my God is with you; he will not forsake you. He will see to it that everything is finished correctly. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
