Happiness, to most of us, in a lot of ways is selfish. And because of selfish reasons, we don’t truly have the ability to enjoy what we do have. We are always looking for the perfect scenario that will make us happier. If we only had more material possessions (new car, new iPhone, new home, newest gadget that everyone else has…etc.)

Instead of being happy for others, we think of ways to put them down. We may say, “They must’ve done something that was not kosher to get where they are!” Or “They have the life I want, and they don’t deserve it!”

Let me put before you some suggestions, that if you implement, could help to bring you true happiness.

*Be happy for others.

*Be their biggest cheerleader.

*Pray Gods blessings on them

*Even if they have what you want - be happy for them.

*Be content with where you are as you continue to improve yourself.

*Always remember that being content is choosing to be happy with what you have, but willing to do what it takes to better your lot in life.

*Live at peace with your friends, neighbors and family.

*Happiness is…what you make it.

Psalm 20:5 NLT

[5] May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner in the name of our God. May the LORD answer all your prayers.
