Going THROUGH It

When we hear that someone is really “going through” something, we know that they are or have been facing some sort of difficult situation. They have been struggling and learning the “art” of enduring as they go “through” whatever it may be.
I want you to think about that word “through”. When a carpenter is building a house and spends the day nailing boards, those nails are going through the wood, they aren’t barely breaking the surface…that would be useless. It’s that process of going through to the other side that holds the house together.
In Psalms it says we “go through” the valley. It doesn’t say we get in there and make a home inside the difficulty. That verse should give us hope when we are “going through it”. We can get through anything. And how is that accomplished?
As that Andre Crouch song says.
Through it all
Oh, through it all
Oh, I've learned to trust in Jesus
I've learned to trust in God
Oh let me tell you
Through it all
Oh, through it all
Oh, I've learned to depend upon His word
When today’s verse says, “I can do everything THROUGH Christ ...”, what is left out of everything? You can make it through even those seemingly impossible hard things? Absolutely yes!
Philippians 4:12-13 NLT
[12] I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. [13] For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
