God is Good

The one truth that you can depend on is that God is a Good God.

If you were raised where you were called on to say grace before the meal, you are familiar with this childhood prayer. “God is good, God is great, let us thank Him for our food.” What a sweet way of acknowledging who God is while asking His blessings on the food that had been prepared. My son, Bryan, would always tag on the end, “and give us good digestion!”

I don’t think any of us, kids and adults alike, ever went beyond those words and realized just how true they were and still are. We were praying to a really good God.

Let’s list some of those “benefits the Lord has given us.

*Forgives

*Heals

*Redeems

*Surrounds us with love & mercy

*Provides

*Directs

*Fills our life with good things

*Youth restored

*Justice when treated wrong

**Good digestion

These are just a few of the reasons we know that God is good and His mercy endures forever.

“God is good, God is great. Let us thank Him…and never forget all He has done and provided.”
