God and Country

To continue with our “love” theme today, let’s talk about loving God and country. Notice which is mentioned first in today’s picture … the love of God. We must never get those reversed.

They are both important, but without God’s love as our foundation and guide, things can get all cattywampus. Our founding fathers needed the direction of scripture in the very beginning and our leaders continue to need that today.

Part of that is on us to pray for our leaders more than we criticize them. They are definitely not perfect, and we don’t see everything they face each day. We don’t have a clue of all the decisions that have to instantly be made for the good of all of us. A lot of those we don’t understand. But that’s okay, we probably couldn’t handle knowing it all.

I just know that I love God and I love this country that I was born into. I pray God continue to guide and bless those who are in leadership with wisdom in decisions. May they be led by God and Him alone.
