Get Out of the Kitchen

What does it mean when we say, “sit at someone’s feet”. It means to be an admiring student of someone that is important to you and really listen to what they are saying. It is a desire to learn from them, not thinking you already know everything they are gonna say. It is being teachable and getting your priorities in line so you can learn from them.
There are some stubborn people out there that will choose not to listen and just assume they have it all together. They may be brilliant and wise beyond their years, but that stubborn streak will be a detriment that keeps them from being as successful as they could be. I love to learn from folks that know way more than I do when it comes to business. The same is true when it comes to the Bible.
On Facebook, my byline for a very long time has been, “A lady with the wisdom of age, while understanding she is never too old to learn important truths”. I love that! (Even though I’m the one who came up with it LOL). I desire to help others with what I’ve learned over the years but continue to always stay teachable.

Mary and Martha were both doing things for Jesus when He came to Martha’s home. Martha was in the kitchen getting prepared and Mary at Jesus feet soaking in what He was sharing. Can you imagine being able to actually sit at Jesus Feet and listen to Him share? Wow!
You have an opportunity every day to “sit at Jesus feet”. Dust off that Bible and learn what He has shared there to help us.
“Get out of the kitchen” long enough to get wisdom that is contained in His Word.
Luke 10:38-39 NLT
[38] As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. [39] Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord's feet, listening to what he taught. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
