Focus on the Right Stuff

“I've got my mind set on you…I know what I've got to do” These are some words in a love song sung by George Harrison from the 60’s “It's gonna take time. Whole lot of precious time. It's gonna take patience and time.” The realization comes to him, that if he truly wants that relationship to work, there has to be focus, time and patience.
The same is true for your relationship with the Lord. Do you have that sense of perfect peace that the scripture talks about? Where is your focus every day? Do you allow yourself to drift off course and daydream your life away? Focus, time and patience is a trio of great advice…something we all could get better at implementing.
We are so prone to allow ourselves to become “scatter-brained”. We are pulled in so many directions our focus strays away from the most important things.
We have to get a handle on our lives and make certain we are focused on Jesus first. The other things will not seem as gigantic when put in their proper place and your perception will align with the Bible.
Those other “things” can steal your peace if they are what you are focusing on. You can conquer the world when your weapon of a focused mind is in full swing. Take the words of Isaiah 26:3 to heart. Trust in the Lord and keep your thoughts fixed on Him.
Isaiah 26:3 NKJV
[3] You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
