Many of you will recognize the beginning words to this hit song…

“Tumble out of bed and I stumble to the kitchen

Pour myself a cup of ambition

And yawn and stretch and try to come to life

Jump in the shower and the blood starts pumpin'

Out on the street, the traffic starts jumpin'

With folks like me on the job from nine to five”

There is a “big something” missing in how this gal started her morning. Can you guess what that something is? If you guessed “time with God”, you would be correct.

We should start our day with some time with God every single morning. There is a reason the Bible says to seek the Kingdom of God first. When you do, it starts your day in the best possible way. It gives you strength to face obstacles and challenges. It puts God at the forefront of your mind and your life.

So, whether you work 9-5 outside your home, work from home, go to school, or maybe you are retired…first things first at the start of your day. Seek Jesus! Let Him direct your path for the day.

Psalm 105:4 NLT

[4] Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
