Family Dose

There was a song out years ago called, “We Are Family”. The best line in it is, “Just let me state for the record, we're giving love in a family dose”

ree

The ones that were being sung about weren’t necessarily “blood” family, but family, nonetheless. Those type of relationships don’t just happen. They are nurtured. Time is spent with them focusing on loving each other. It is honestly being interested in someone other than “numero uno.” There is something to be said about strong mutually beneficial relationships.

Jesus modeled this for us as He shared with the crowds and then broke away to be with those whom He was the closest. He was giving them that family dose of love, making sure they had an understanding of all He shared. They would be the ones that would continue His teachings after He was gone.

Don’t neglect those you are closest to. Nurture the relationships in such a way that after you are gone, they can carry on what you have taught them. If there is a strain in any of your family/friends, pray for restoration and do your part in making that happen

Matthew 13:36 NLT

[36] Then, leaving the crowds outside, Jesus went into the house. His disciples said, "Please explain to us the story of the weeds in the field." #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
