Faith in Your Prayers

When you pray, believe you have what you ask for! Have faith in knowing that when you pray within Gods will, you have what you ask of Him. That is a really powerful word. It is faith in action. The words of a song that I used to hear Jake Hess sing many years ago put it this way,
“Prayer is the key to Heaven
But faith unlocks the door
Words are so easily spoken
Prayer without faith
Is like a boat without an oar”
If you are needing amazing things to happen in your life, be sure you are not “up a creek without a paddle”. Be sure that you are praying in faith.
Another important factor is how you are loving others. Be sure that you love others the way God loves you. He loves you just the way you are and wants things to be good for you. That “just the way you are” thing doesn’t mean you stay the way you are. If it is in conflict with what His will is for your life, then there needs to be some change take place. I’m just saying that His love is unconditional, and yours should be to. You may not really like someone or the things they do, but you’re still called to love them.
Develop your faith by looking up scripture that applies to faith. The first part of today’s verse says to “Confess your sins to one another so you may be healed”. I like to think of it as everyone admitting their part so that your relationship may be healed. Then pray. Amazing things can happen in that atmosphere.
