Faith and Patience

Faith and patience are referred to by some as the “power twins”. Faith is something that gives you the assurance that you have what you ask for according to His Word, and patience is what you have until you see it come to pass. Some translations use the word, endurance. This gives you a little stronger idea of what we are talking about.

You may say, “Paula, I have faith, I’m just tired of waiting.” This is where your patience has to kick in. You don’t just out of nowhere have patience though. It is something you develop as you live your life. I remember a cartoon of family circus where one of the kids prayed for something they thought they wanted, and the parents had told him to be patient. So, he prayed, “Give me patience and give it to me now!” That’s not how this “patience” thing works. It is something you develop, so it is available when you have a need for it.
Living a life being upset that things aren’t happening just the way you want, and as quickly as you want, can be devastating for you. It robs you of the peace that you need to just stand in faith believing.
Stop being impatient! It took a while for the promise of a son to come to fruition for Abraham. He had faith and the patience needed to be the father of many nations.
Hebrews 6:12 NKJV
[12] that you do not become sluggish but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
