Expect Blessings

It can seem confusing on the surface, but giving is a simple concept. You give your time and energy and even money to others because it’s the right thing to do. Do they appreciate your efforts? Maybe not…doesn’t matter.
What you “don’t do” is the part that gets lost in the mix. Today's scripture tells us to give with no expectations of receiving anything back. That is true, even from your enemies. It is easy to give to folks that love you, but when they don’t…we are instructed to still give.
Now I want to help you understand that there is an expectation in giving, “give and it shall be given unto you”. This was not just words on an empty page with an empty promise. This came directly from Jesus. When you give, you are blessed with so much, those blessings overflow. Do they come from the person you gave to? The answer is simple. They come from your Heavenly Father who gives more abundantly than we could ever ask or think.
I hope I gave some clarity on giving. Giving is not always money. It is more than just a tithe of your income (which is important) …It is a choice you make when you are blessed to be a blessing. (Whether to a friend or foe).
Luke 6:35 TPT
[35] But love your enemies and continue to treat them well. When you lend money, don't despair if you are never paid back, for it is not lost. You will receive a rich reward and you will be known as true children of the Most High God, having his same nature. For your Father is famous for his kindness to heal even the thankless and cruel.
