Every Day is a Gift

I heard it said recently … “the days are long, but the years are short”. This was said in regard to raising children.

As parents sometimes just the everyday events with your kiddos can make the day seem extremely long. You actually, in many ways, love every minute of it, and then on the other hand, you’re totally exhausted.

We have to remember that one day the house will be quiet and we will miss those little voices with endless questions. You will miss those moments of joy in their faces when they see you at their events cheering them on.

You want the memories that you have left with your family and anyone you have touched to be a highlight in their own life story. You want them to be able to say, “I remember when mom or dad or my friend did… (fill in the blank) for me. They loved me so much that I want to pass that love on to my friends and family.”

Pray that God fills you to the tippy top with His love today as you realize this very day is His gift to you.

Psalm 90:12,14 ERV

Teach us how short our lives are so that we can become wise. [14] Fill us with your love every morning. Let us be happy and enjoy our lives. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
