Enjoy Your Journey

How many of you have started out on a vacation and because you have worked so hard to get ready to hit the road, you are exhausted? You just want to wave a magic wand and be there. I am so guilty of this.

As I look back to family time spent being on edge, it makes me wish I could go back to those times and just enjoy that time together. You know the journey to your Vaca destination is going to take a while, so why not make that time something you will remember as a special memory?

Actually, our entire life is a journey.

If you have that lasting relationship with Jesus, you know your final destination is with Him in heaven. But so many of us keep ourselves in such a state, we miss out on just our everyday blessings.

We have been programmed to only think about our final destination and what awaits us there. (Which is awesome, by the way). But we can’t be constrained to only thinking about our heavenly destination that we miss out on “the here and now” blessings.

We should be enjoying our home and family and friendships and, in that process, making sure that they have a final destination to look forward to when this journey ends.
