When someone is so discouraged, they give up and give into the situation…this is a person who has “lost heart”.

In the scriptures, we see Paul going through many trials for the sake of all of those with whom he was sharing the Good News. There is no way he could have faced the beatings and all the other horrible things without the inner strength that came from the Holy Spirit.

No matter what you are facing during this season of your life, someone has faced it before you and survived. Don’t give in to the temptation to make that spot your home. Don’t lose heart in that “valley of despair”! Pass through it and you’ll find yourself feeling so much stronger for the journey.

Will it be easy…most valleys aren’t. But, having the courage to take the steps when you would rather stand still, will keep you moving forward to a resolution. Also, there are those that are looking to you for inspiration in their journey.

I love reading about how Paul not only faced all of the problems he encountered but became a champion to those that followed his example. They knew that he was relying on the inner strength from the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 3:16 NLT

[16] I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
