That phrase was coined in advertisements for antiperspirant many years ago. And yes, there are times when seeing someone sweat can indicate their possible fear of a particular situation. And with that said, maybe fear is just the opposite of what you need to portray.

The first ever televised debate was between John F Kennedy and Richard Nixon. I’m sure the hot tv lights were the cause of a lot of sweating. I’ve seen pictures of Nixon’s sweating upper lip in his debate with Kennedy and thought about how that had a bearing on the outcome. We saw him sweat, and to the viewers, it appeared as a weakness.

Being strong requires us to look beyond our current state of affairs and to think about what is best for ourselves and those we love. Sure, there may be giants that seem more powerful than we are, but we have the Lord on our side. We can’t “panic” or “sweat” before those that are against us.

You may say, “I’m just not that strong!” But listen to me, you have no choice but to be strong.

And remember that you are never alone in what you are facing when God is going before you to deal with those giants in your life.

Stand on His promises and don’t sweat it! Follow His lead.

Deuteronomy 31:6 NLT

[6] So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you." #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
