Do The Work

In most translations the word slave is used. So that you understand, I am using the Passion translation where they replace that with employee. They are interchangeable, though. As Bobby tells me all the time, “being employed by someone is modern day slavery, you are owned by them for X amount of hours a day.” Can’t really argue with that.

When you are on the job, you should be giving it all you got, not just when you think your employer (owner) is watching. Your superior should have so much confidence in you that even when they are out of the office, there is no doubt you are consistently doing the job that needs to get done.
Many "work from home" and are their own boss. What if you gave your time and consistency there as much as you did at the office working for someone else? No shuffling papers and cruising the internet when you should be doing the things that need be done to make your employer (you) proud. You would see such a difference in productivity and growth, because you are not pretending to work, you are actually doing the work.
At the end of the day, exhibiting good work habits is something we all should do. The Bible says we are to be faithful in all things. What’s left out of “all”?
Do the work, whether at home or at the office as if you are doing for the Lord. We know that He wants the best for us, so let’s get to it!
Colossians 3:22-23 TPT
[22] Let every employee listen well and follow the instructions of their employer, not just when their employers are watching, and not in pretense, but faithful in all things. For we are to live our lives with pure hearts in the constant awe and wonder of our Lord God. [23] Put your heart and soul into every activity you do, as though you are doing it for the Lord himself and not merely for others. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
