Do the Right Thing

Being put in charge is a big responsibility and should be taken very seriously. Some have never learned what it means to be responsible and do the right thing. They may know it, but don’t really care to do it, which makes it an even worse scenario.

I’ve seen folks that have taken on the role of being “the boss” but have grossly misused that position. They seem to think, as a boss, they can treat those under them any way that they please. This should never be the case. Everyone has a role to play and should be treated with respect and kindness.

The same is true in building relationships with those around you. You should never give the impression that you are so smart that you make the other person feel small and dumb. You should be cognizant of the feelings of others and be aware of how you treat them. Basically, just do the right thing. It’s not that hard to be kind, dependable and thoughtful.

You are in charge of your life. It takes, “thinking” right to “do” right. When you do, you will be rewarded with better and kinder relationships.

Doesn’t that sound nice?

Luke 12:42-43 NLT

[42] And the Lord replied, "A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them. [43] If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward.
