Control Freak

I normally wouldn’t say that being a “control freak” is a good thing. But when it comes to your temper, bring on the freak. When you learn that you can control the way you react to situations that happen, life just becomes easier.

One of Bobby’s and my favorite things to say when something weird happens is, “that makes no sense!” (It’s silly, but we say, that maeksh no shensh). We just see the situation and think, "this is a crazy scenario."

Everyone wants to be understood. But does losing your temper help with that? Even if you “feel as though” someone is intentionally misunderstanding your intent, don’t allow anger to creep in.

Get all freaky and control how you react, and control what comes out of your mouth. I’ll even add…control what you type on social media or in messenger.

You know Jesus had to be a little put out with those in His hometown when they didn’t believe enough for Him to perform the mighty miracles He had done in other places. He didn’t try to get get back at them. He went ahead and healed the few that did believe.

When you go beyond hurt and disappointment and keep your composure, you earn respect from those you deal with in your life. It just “maeksh shensh”.

Proverbs 19:11 NLT

[11] Sensible people control their temper; they earn respect by overlooking wrongs. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
