Choose Action Over Fear

I want to take you back to how God took care of rebuilding the wall at Jerusalem through the efforts of Nehemiah. “On October 2 the wall was finished-just fifty-two days after we had begun. When our enemies and the surrounding nations heard about it, they were frightened and humiliated. They realized this work had been done with the help of our God.”

Nehemiah had been sad over and actually wept over the shape of the wall at Jerusalem. Things were in a mess.

After much prayer and “tears” … Nehemiah decided that a change had to be made and he was the one that God wanted to use to bring about transformation to that sacred ground. He was willing and able with Gods help to accomplish it.

He was also aware that there would be those that would oppose him in this effort. But with the help of his Jewish brothers, it was accomplished. Think of this … had he not stepped up to facilitate change … the others that followed his leadership would have had a totally different outcome. Their protection that the wall provided wouldn’t have been there. Their future would be affected.

This is where our scripture for today comes in for us. What God did in protection, guidance and success for Nehemiah … He will do for you. He is the same today as yesterday.

Whatever changes you need to make (no matter how scary they may be) He is there for you. You must be willing to take the steps, even if there is opposition. You will never regret following Gods guidance and his plan for you. Don’t live in regret.

Hebrews 13:8 NLT
