Can-Do Attitude

Okay, so your bones “creak” a bit. Maybe you’ve become a tad wobbly when you walk from “here to there”. Maybe that “here to there” takes a bit longer. Maybe you put your teeth in a cup at night. Maybe you are having a little difficulty in remembering a few things from time to time. Those are just details to deal with and conquer as time passes by. Gives new meaning to the phrase we’ve all heard, “the devils in the details”.

Don’t let that old stinking devil have place in those details. Knock him down with a “can-do” attitude while you remain here on this earth. Don’t give in or give out. Give it all you got and then some from that Spirit of God that lives inside you.

Just because a person becomes a “senior citizen”, doesn’t mean that now is time to totally kick your feet up and do nothing. It is time to kick it up a notch and do great things for God. When those feet are up and you have a phone, use your voice to encourage. If you still drive, go visit someone. Waddle into the kitchen and sit on a stool and help with supper. Sometimes you can just be good company to those around you.

Be a strong cedar and produce fruit. Staying “young at heart” gives you an amazing advantage. Your fruit may look a little different at times but never quit producing it. Someone needs your wisdom and example.

Psalm 92:12,14 NLT

[12] But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. [14] Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.
