Boomerang Effect

I remember as a kid having a boomerang. I was totally amazed at how I could throw it in one direction toward my playmate, and it would somehow change direction and come right back to me.
What I had planned (so to speak) for someone else ended up being back in my hands. I’ve heard some say, “what goes around, comes around”. Some like to call it Karma.
In the Bible, it is referred to as “reaping what you sow.” And to be clear, that is not just referring to “sow good, reap good.” It also means when you sow bad stuff you reap some bad stuff. You can be forgiven for anything, but the consequences are still there to go through. Believe me when I say, “those consequences can be painful.”
In today’s scripture, I am really wanting to give hope to those that are worn out by all the bad things that are happening around us. God is not ignoring these things. Know this! He is well aware of all we are facing and sees the “big picture”. We only see the boomerang being tossed; He sees the return.
The Message Bible says it this way, “That’s what happens: mischief backfires; violence boomerangs.”
What we should all do now is to stay strong. We must not give in or give up. We must praise God in the middle. We must have patience in knowing that a boomerang is about to be turned back on those that mean us harm.
Psalm 7:14-16 NLT
[14] The wicked conceive evil; they are pregnant with trouble and give birth to lies. [15] They dig a deep pit to trap others, then fall into it themselves. [16] The trouble they make for others backfires on them. The violence they plan falls on their own heads. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
