Being the Bigger Person

When you keep your mind renewed with the Bible, doing what is right is not as difficult as you think. Think of the Bible as Gods way of talking to you. Personalize it with your name and really understand that it is for you.

When you are faced with something that angers you so much that you want to retaliate, you have to learn to be the bigger person. Most people expect you to come back at them with a comment so that they can in turn reply another jab at you. See how that gets you nowhere but in a vicious circle. It truly does become vicious to the point of friendships being, (in some cases) totally ruined. What a waste!

Remember you don’t have to “weigh-in” on every comment on Facebook or in everyday conversation. You can sit out being a part of those controversial discussions and just be a good person. You can do the right thing. You can “overcome evil with good”. The people that consistently stir up evil can’t continue to cause you grief without you giving an ear to their evil platform and being ready to return that evil to them.

Love the truth and spread good. Put your name in today’s verse and live it.

Romans 12:21 NKJV

[21] Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
