Being More Like a Sunflower

I was reading about sunflowers this morning and a couple of things stood out that I want to share with you. Sunflowers need 6-8 hours of sunlight or more. They need to soak up those rays. Also, when they are “buds” they constantly follow the suns position in the sky (from East to West). When they are full grown, they are strong and stay in one position. They also produce many seeds.

When we first become Christians, we really don’t understand what we have in Jesus (God’s Son). We are learning and need a lot of guidance from those who understand the scriptures. We want to do good and flourish but need to be taught how we have that in Jesus and how to access it.

As we grow in our faith and knowledge, we begin to understand how trusting Him is the path to all going well for us. We become strong in the Lord which produces a way to reach a lot of folks.

Let’s make it a goal of ours to be more like the sunflower by soaking up what the Bible says. Let’s become someone that has a hand in bringing many to Jesus as we continue to mature in our faith.

Psalm 37:3-4 NKJV

[3] Trust in the LORD, and do good, Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. [4] Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
