Being Aware and Being Guided

Just because I am kind, doesn’t mean I’m not aware of what happens around me. I have learned to not only listen to what people are saying, but also to let God guide my understanding. For many of these folks, we need to repeat what Jesus said on the cross, “Father forgive them, they know not what they do!” They could be living in ignorance and believing wrong.
The world in which we live is a mixed-up mess, but we don’t have to be. We have the Bible and the experiences and wisdom there to guide us in the right path.
As we go about our lives and face both opposition and sometimes cruelty, we need to remember how Jesus dealt with that.
Just because we are sometimes the recipient of false narratives doesn’t mean we are to just lay down and be gobbled up. We are to be wise but stay innocent in our own lives. We have to not return evil for evil. Instead, we stay kind, but not ignorant of what is true and right.
