Being a Good Example for Others

How cool would it be if people looked to you as their example and it was a really good one? On the other hand, being someone who constantly throws caution to the wind, would not be such a cool example to follow.

We need to think long and hard about what kind of person we are, and also who we ourselves follow. Those two things can make or break you so to speak. You be that good person that seeks God and follow those that give you the absolute truth from the Bible. Sometimes it may be something you don’t necessarily want to hear, but it is true to the Word.

I personally want those whom I follow and/or listen to each day to be trustworthy, knowledgeable and strong in their faith. Then…I want the example that I project to be one that is genuine, sincere and meaningful to those who may possibly need my encouragement. I want them to know what they are receiving from me is to help them on their journey.

The bottom line is to allow Jesus to be seen in all you do. When people see that kind of life, it is a good thing.

Hebrews 13:7 NLT

[7] Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith.
