Whether you are a young person or a seasoned adult, it matters who you hang out with. Do you spend the hours of your day with those that speak life into you? Are you spending the majority of your day with people that care nothing about you other than what they can get from you? I realize some of those relationships aren’t necessarily of your choosing. But when there is a choice… choose to be with caring smart folks rather than crazy fools. You will know in your spirit when something just isn’t right.
I’ve been on both sides of this verse in Prov 13:20. When I was spending my quality time with the undisciplined, I watched my life go into free fall that has taken years to rebuild.
I spend quality quiet time in the Word now which helps me fill my life with good and positive things. I want my life to matter and help others understand some things that matter. The reason for this morning devotional here.
In the margin of my Bible by this verse I have written, “Whoever has your ear, has your life!”
Now that is some wise words right there. Who has your ear?
Proverbs 13:20 Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.
