Be a Part of the Solution

I am someone that hates conflict and try to avoid it at all times. This doesn’t mean I will never have to face some things that come up from time to time. If I let a problem "fester”, it will never get better.
I realize in my own life, there are things that are out of my control. But I also realize that I should never become a part of the problem by sharing my disappointment with others regularly and allowing bitterness to set in.
When you continue to go over and over the things you have asked God to help you with, you are stepping backward instead of forward. You are not being a part of the solution.
Facing the problem is being “strong and courageous”. How that presents itself is different according to the situation.
In Joshua’s case, Moses had died and the torch of leading the Israelite people (who were known to be pretty stubborn) was handed to him. He needed to face that task and just do it, knowing God is with him.
What are you facing that seems so daunting? Is it a relationship gone south? Is it a new position in a difficult environment? Is it a financial problem that seems increasingly hard to manage? Is it wishing for more flexibility and money? Is it loneliness and sadness?
The same advice is true for all the situations (problems) listed, including Joshua. Be strong and courageous!
God is with you in it all. But it doesn’t mean He does it all. You have free will to make valuable choices that can help or make things worse. Don’t become a part of the problem. Face it in a way that brings peace. Don’t do things that continue to stir up bad feelings and bring no solutions.
Joshua 1:9 NLT
[9] This is my command-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
