Bad Apple

There are a lot of bad “apples” out there. They spew hate as they stir up dissent among otherwise peaceful people. Do you have to listen to those “bad actors”? It is wise to know what you are up against, but in that wisdom, know that everything you hear doesn’t have to be believed “hook, line and sinker."
What I have learned in my 72 plus years is to weigh what I am hearing against what the Bible says. You have to use your God given discernment to know when something just doesn’t seem right. It might be the morality of the situation (is it morally right or wrong). It might be deception at play, and you recognize it as such. It might be hearing words that used to mean something other than how they are being used now. (That’s a tricky one) Not enough room to put every scenario, because there are so many. On a sidenote: Where is your info originating from? Have they proven to be trustworthy? Do they “only” spew vitriol? Do they demonstrate a love for our creator?
As Christians, we have to learn to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit to help us as we decipher the good, the bad and the ugly. Sometimes it is easy to spot the rottenness. Eventually the rotten is revealed and that “fruit” will fall.
Our biggest concern is not to allow that awful rottenness to permeate our lives. We must recognize when the “deceptors” are trying to blend in and destroy what we love and cherish.
When you listen, be wise and don’t consume. We must also remember that everything will be revealed in time. “For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.” Luke 8:17
Galatians 5:9 TPT
