Life isn’t about who’s the best! If we spend our lives comparing ourselves to others, we will miss out on the accomplishments we have made.

I love making small steps toward a goal. If I look at those steps and compare them to those that are navigating their lives differently, I am more than likely setting myself up for disappointment.

Some folks are just natural born leaders with success appearing easy to them. Then others move at a slower pace, with success in their view. It doesn’t make one of them better, they just approach it in a way that best suits their personality.

Also, on the surface things may appear to be easy for someone, yet we have no idea the struggle and sacrifice they had to make to achieve their success. We see the end result, but not the journey.

If you continue to compare yourself to those around you, you are missing the point. You were created with your own gifts and abilities. You need to encourage yourself to learn new things and move at your own pace. You will be happier for it. And always remember…You can do it. But do it without comparing.

2 Corinthians 10:12 MSG

[12] We're not, understand, putting ourselves in a league with those who boast that they're our superiors. We wouldn't dare do that. But in all this comparing and grading and competing, they quite miss the point. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
