All That Glitters

“All that glitters is not gold” is a phrase used to describe how we look at things.
So much of what we hear is to sway us to a particular side of an issue or circumstance. On the surface what is being shared may sound reasonable and true, but lurking beneath that surface is so much dirt, you may need to clean for days or even years to remove it.
That devil is crafty and knows how to appeal to each of us. We need wisdom to know who to listen to in all circumstances. If you don’t get the wisdom you need, you are asking for a heap of trouble.
It is so important to filter what we see and hear through the awesome wisdom of the Word. This is the only place where there is no one trying to dupe us into believing something that isn’t real or true. We definitely do NOT want to be foolish in our thoughts and actions. We see in today’s verse that those that follow what is foolish, are on the road to destruction.
And on the flip side of that is listening to God. Those that go to Him for wisdom will live in safety and comfort. Added to that is being fearless. Imagine not having anything to fear. Pretty cool way to live if you ask me.
That glitter you see right now may be sent to get you off track. Find your true gold in what the scriptures say.
Proverbs 1:32-33 ERV
[32] "Fools die because they refuse to follow wisdom. They are content to follow their foolish ways, and that will destroy them. [33] But those who listen to me will live in safety and comfort. They will have nothing to fear." #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
